Build the site however you like. Install the Writeup GitHub App on the repo and list the files your client may edit in writeup.config.json.

Every edit goes to its own branch. Nothing goes live until someone presses Publish, which opens a PR you can review by default.
The AI can't write files. It has four content-shaped tools and nothing else, so even a client who asks for a new layout can't get one.

When a request goes beyond words and images, like a new page or a layout change, Writeup doesn't attempt it. It turns it into a scoped request in your inbox. You quote it, they approve it in the same chat, and you get paid for the work you actually want to do.
That's not design work, and it doesn't have to be yours anymore. Your client makes the change in the chat they already have open, and you still see every edit in the repo history.
